Degree Transfer
OVERVIEW
Our Degree Transfer programs are designed for students who have completed 12 years of schooling in their home country. These programs provide a direct pathway into the second year of a bachelor's degree at the University of Newcastle Australia and are available in six study streams: Business, Commerce, Construction Management, Engineering, Information Technology, and Media and Communication.
Equivalent to the first year of a University of Newcastle bachelor's degree, our Degree Transfer programs combine academic study with English language support, study skills, problem-solving, and communication skills, while introducing you to your chosen field of study.
Degree Transfer programs can be packaged with 34 bachelor's degrees at the University of Newcastle Australia. Upon successful completion, you will progress directly into the second year of your chosen degree without the need to provide additional English language test results, such as IELTS, when transitioning to the University.
If you don't quite meet the academic or English language entry requirements for a Degree Transfer program, you may be eligible for the Degree Transfer Extended program. This option includes an additional bridging trimester designed to strengthen your academic skills and English language proficiency before you begin the Degree Transfer program.
