Our Pre-Master's Program (2 trimesters) and Pre-Master's Program Accelerated (1 trimester) are designed for international students seeking a direct pathway to a master's degree at the University of Newcastle. Both credit-bearing programs provide up to 30 credit points towards your chosen master's degree, allowing you to progress directly into the second trimester upon successful completion.

 

Throughout the program, you'll strengthen your academic English, develop essential study, research, problem-solving, and communication skills, and gain an introduction to your chosen field of study. In the two-trimester Pre-Master's Program, the first Bridging trimester focuses on building your academic English and study skills, while the second Pre-Master's trimester includes university subjects that count towards your master's degree.

 

Students who successfully complete either program can transition to the University of Newcastle without the need to provide additional English language test results, such as IELTS.
