OVERVIEW
Our Degree Transfer Extended Media and Communication program is tailored to prepare you for Year 2 of the Bachelor of Media and Communication at the University of Newcastle. It provides a pathway into one of Australia’s best undergraduate communications degrees. You will enjoy work integrated learning (WIL) opportunities and develop skills to produce ground-breaking, thought-provoking, and engaging work in diverse media industries.

In your first semester of this Degree Transfer Extended program, you will study a bridging program consisting of five courses: Academic English, Computing, Economics, Commercial Law Fundamentals and Programming. You will then go on to study the same curriculum as the Year 1 bachelor’s degree university students plus Academic English A and B, and receive 80 credit points for the Bachelor of Media and Communication.
Upon successful completion of the Degree Transfer Extended Media and Communication program, you will enter Year 2 of the Bachelor of Media and Communication at the University of Newcastle.
