
How to Apply
International students can apply to study through an agent or directly via our online application form.
Follow these simple steps to secure your place with us:
Step 1: Start your application
If you are one of our authorised agents, please use the Kaplink Agent Portal to submit and manage applications. For assistance, contact our System Support Officer.
If you are a student and want to apply directly, please download the relevant PDF form:
Student Application Form (for applicants outside mainland China AND NOT applying through an education agent located in mainland China)
Student Application Form (for applicants residing in mainland China OR applying through an education agent located in mainland China)
Step 2: Provide supporting documents
Please supply us with certified copies of the following documents, where possible. Certified translations must accompany documents that are not in English:

Academic qualifications (school reports)
-
English proficiency document
-
Passport
You can have your copies of original documents certified by one of the following:
-
A registered notary public
-
A registered Justice of the Peace
-
Any Australian Education Centre
-
Any education agent, which you have authorised as your representative
-
An authorised officer of an Australian diplomatic mission
-
Certified documents must include an unmovable stamp, a signature, and the date of certification
Step 3: Submit your application
Step 4: Application assessment
We will review your application and supporting documents. If you meet our admission requirements, you will receive an Offer of Admission.
You may also need to be assessed to determine if you are a Genuine Student under Australian legislation. We may require you to do one or more of the following:

completing a Genuine Student (GS) Form
-
providing financial documents
-
attending an interview
Step 5: Accept your Offer
To accept your offer, you will need to:

Login to your Kaplink Application Portal. If you are logging in for the first time you can use the “Applicant and Alumni password reset” link to set your account password, providing your Applicant ID as username when prompted.

Submit the evidence required to meet any condition(s) outlined in your offer, if applicable

Carefully read your offer including all Terms and Conditions

Select the ‘Respond to Offer’ button in the offer section and follow the required steps to complete your offer acceptance and deposit payment as required

After we have received your payment, we will issue your Confirmation of Enrolment / eCoEs.
Step 6: Visa and accommodation
If you are an international student, you will need to apply for a student visa to study in Australia. After receiving your eCoEs, please apply for your Australian student visa as early as possible. For details on visa requirements, visit the website of Department of Home Affairs.
Step 7 : Orientation
Four weeks before the start of your program, you will receive more information about the orientation session. To find out more about the orientation, visit the Orientation page.
Overseas Representatives
The University of Newcastle College of International Education appoints agents to act as our official representatives abroad. An agent can help assist you with:

Admission requirements and choice of programs

Processing and forwarding of the application, and acceptance and payment to the College

Visa application, travel, accommodation and pre-departure arrangements
